VFX and Directing by Kramer

I got to know about Kramer from one if his early contributions on creativecow.net anchored then by Aharon Rabinowitz, the very early days of videocopilot.net way before it became what we know of it today. I just finished the first part of my 3years study in animation and vfx, armed with special skills in modelling, texturing, animation and dynamics in Autodesk Maya and not having a clue as to how to composite my 3D renders so as to make a meaningful showreel. Andrew Kramer's tutorials brought me up to speed with Aftereffects as a post production / editing suite, I learnt everything from importing batch renders to finishing a video ready for broadcast complete with color correction, additional effects, motion graphics and the likes. He has over the years matured into an authority in Aftereffects, developed major presets and plugins, landed a number of title sequence and most recently directed his film -Intercept. From recent trend I can predict we'll be seeing more of him in directorial roles.
Here on this clip he answers different question relating to visual effects and directing via twitter, really an inspiring clip from Film Riot.

Take your carefree energy and go make that movie,
Just go make a movie before you actually learn to make
a movie because then it’s just slow and takes forever’.

Learning anything and everything is going
to help you become a better filmmaker'.

Trust Andrew to throw in a healthy dose of humor. Enjoy!
